This screen allows you to update information for any ingredient in CDChef, sometimes called a dictionary word. The term dictionary word is used by CDChef to recognize common ingredients across various recipes when generating shopping lists. Here, we have Apple Juice, just below the dictionary word "Apple Juice", we have the ingredient features for this item, cost, calories, carbs, and fat grams. To the right, we can enter the quantity the features are based on. For this apple juice example, we purchase 64 fluid ounces, or 1/2 gallon, and it costs us $2.29, has 110 calories, 28 carbohydrates, and 0 fat grams. If the check box "Auto Update Ingredient Features" is checked, when this item is added to a recipe, the feature quantities will be automatically adjusted to the quantity in the recipe. For example, if we have a recipe that calls for 8 ounces of apple juice, or 1 cup, the features in the recipe would be .29 cents, 14 calories, 4 carbs, and 0 fat grams.
Below the features, are list boxes for substitutions, pictures, and suppliers. To add, change, or delete entries in each of the list boxes, simply right click inside the list box and choose the appropriate option, it's that easy. Click this button to buy CDChef |
